Plain White Cake
Ingredients:
All-purpose Flour – 250 gm
Baking powder- 1 tsp
Butter- 150 gm
Ghee- 100 gm
Powered sugar- 250 gm
Vanilla essence- 5 drops
Milk- 3 tsp
Egg- 3 or 4 (should weigh 250 gm)
White Cake Recipe From Scratch Method:
Sieve the flour and baking powder together to ensure they are fine and mixed well. Take a big bowl, put the eggs in it and beat it well. Add powdered sugar, butter and ghee to the beaten eggs and beat it till they are soft and fluffy.
At this point add the sieved flour and baking power to the mixture and mix well, so that they do not have any lumps left in it. Add on milk and vanilla essence to the batter and blend them well once more. You can use an electric beater to blend the ingredients. The batter will turn soft, creamy and fluffy.
Grease a baking dish and dust some flour on to it. Pour the batter to the dish and bake in a pre-heated oven till it is done and the top turns golden brown. Remove from the oven and leave to cool.
